Google Now Translates Scottish Gaelic

Google has finally added the universe's third greatest language to it's translation software.

So let's give Google Gaelic a fair chance. I have left the settings to "Auto detect language", and I'm going to translate from Gaelic into English.

We can start with some basic words, those essential to the Gaels daily vocabulary:

Okay this is good, correct Gaelic, all is well

Yup, still all okay

Not exactly ideal. But hey! It’s still the right word

Now we get to the real words that stir up the heart of the true Gael:

I’m not going to delve into the history of the Niseach (‘folk’ that dwell in Ness) race, and I do understand that they cling on to claim some Spanish’ish lineage. But I highly doubt that Google translate is thinking along these lines

Okay so it's failed at one of our delicacies, let's see how it fares with our main player:

It may well be true that as of late the beloved Bag O’ Blood (Black Pudding) is getting rather famous in the health-food world, but I highly doubt it’s quite made it out of orbit yet

Surely our final test should be to enter in that most revered of all text's?

Forget all the bad that has been done, forget even the fact of the additional “w” to our alphabet. Any translating software that equates Dwelly with the direct and only translation of “Dictionary” is okay in my book
