Real Issues Of College: Poetry Edition

A poem asking why college tuition is so expensive and struggles college students are being put through because of high tuition cost.

    Pour up (drank), money (sink)

    In our pockets it goes

    Down the drain it flows

My eyes blink and poof it's gone,

While I try to weigh the pros and cons

Of college tuition, is it worth it

In the end will college be worth the money a bit

    Room/board, tuition, books and supplies

Is it that big of a surprise?

    That college is expensive

    Every year becoming more apprehensive

    Of tuition rising higher

The attention is being more focused on money, not desire

Thousands of dollars are being spent on getting an education

What is becoming of our nation?

Families struggle to put their children through good universities with ridiculous price tags

It's sickening to go through this, give me a punching bag

The stress of actually attending classes then getting a job because it's not affordable

Then taking out student loans that need to be paid back, this is horrible

What about the percentage of people who cannot get a job?

Going through the stresses of classes and paying tuition to end up with nothing after graduating,

Oh yeah except for a thousand dollar piece of paper

    Let us be greater

    More considerate to college students

    Let's not be prudent

    Let's be caring

    Not overbearing

Let us lower tuition cost let us lower stress levels we will have an even better college experience.
