"The Great Gatsby" took place in the mid-twenties, but don't expect to hear music from this decade. Today Interscope Records and Warner Bros. released the soundtrack list at the same time a new trailer for the film was released.
Jay-Z will set off the 14-track OST with a brand-new track titled "100$ Bill," while his wife Beyoncé teams up with Andre 3000 to bring new life into Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black."
Film director Baz Luhrmann, Jay-Z, and executive music supervisor Anton Monsted aimed to take the jazzy feel from F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel and give it a contemporary twist with key contributions from will.i.am, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Gotye, Jack White, Fergie and Q-Tip.
The soundtrack will be released on May 7, just three days before the film hits theaters.
