Forever forcing my skin to love me back.
I never owned a shower cap before this one, but am mighty glad I finally tried one out. I always thought they were for one purpose only: not getting your hair wet. But then I realized they can be much, much more. I use mine every time I put a hair mask on, to lock in its benefits with help from the heat that gets trapped inside (and to keep it from making a mess). I also use it in the shower, after I've put conditioner in my hair. See, I always wait until the end of my routine to wash it out, so using a shower cap makes sure I don't pre-emptively wash it out (plus, it keeps the product off of my acne-prone back and shoulders).

I started using this when I came back to Canada after spending a year in a hot 'n' humid climate. So, my face when it felt winter again was, like, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? Every time I put moisturizer on it just sat on top of my wildly dry skin, no matter what I tried. And my nose? Flake city. Not cute. After hearing rave reviews about The Ordinary, I went into Deciem and spoke to one of their beauty specialists, who basically threw this bottle at me. They put a drop of hyaluronic acid on my left hand and added moisturizer, then added only moisturizer to my right hand for comparison. One minute later, my left hand had absorbed all of the moisture, and my right had a white cast of cream left on it. I was sold, and now I can't live without it.

I love a good massage, but when I first saw this product I was like what? A massage? For your face? I don’t know why it seemed so odd to me initially, but I’m glad I got over it and hopped on the gua sha train. After looking at a few articles and tutorials, I went for it and purchased this rose quartz stone. Now, I can’t stop using it. Every other night after I wash my face, I pat on a few drops of jojoba oil and get to work! The next morning my face feels (and looks) glowy and rejuvenated.

I only recently jumped on the niacinamide bandwagon, but it's already become one of my favourite skincare products. It's wild how little of this product you need to feel the benefits of it. I literally only use a drop of it before applying my moisturizer at night and in the morning, my blemishes are a little less invasive looking. This particular formula is mixed with zinc to increase its effectiveness!

I just finished my trial-size of this Farmacy gel moisturizer and you know what? They got me. I already ordered a new jar. I've struggled to find a moisturizer that doesn't make my foundation pill or make my face feel greasy throughout the day — until I tried this one! I love how quickly it absorbs into my skin and that it keeps my face feeling plump and hydrated, without affecting my makeup.

K, I know this cleanser is on the more expensive side of the spectrum, but I literally can't use any other face wash. It NEVER breaks me out, irritates my skin, or feels drying. I love that this stuff removes the added step of using a makeup remover (and that it also saves me from buying yet another face product). It glides on smoothly and is super gentle on my skin. I use it day and night, every single day.

K. I finally bought a silk pillowcase, and let me tell you: I wish I had done it sooner! I love how soft and cool it feels on my face, and the fact that it has literally transformed my day two curls. After sleeping on a regular cotton pillowcase, my curls would be a frizzy mess and I'd have to style 'em again (or just take a shower). Now? They're just as nice as they were before I hit the hay. And yes, this baby is 100% silk.
I love love love this stuff. I use it pretty much every day. I find it makes my complexion look healthier and glowy — I'll sometimes even wear it under my foundation if my skin is feeling particularly dull. A little goes a long way with this stuff! I only need a drop or two to cover my whole face. It has a slightly rusty colour, but it blends right into my skin without leaving any residue.

"I'm know I'm not alone in not washing my makeup brushes as often as I should. It takes forever, and even once I'm done cleaning them, I still have to let them dry overnight. But this spinning makeup brush cleaner has totally changed the game. It uses a battery-operated spinner to swish the dirty brush in soapy water (I just used liquid soap, but you can also use special makeup brush shampoo), and then you just lift the brush out of the water and keep it spining for a few seconds — voilà! Within 30 seconds, the brush is totally clean and — more importantly — totally dry." —Kat Angus

I love this toner, but it's definitely one of the more intense products I use — so I use it sparingly. It's been helping me keep my breakouts at bay, as well as with smoothing out my skin texture. I usually only apply it at night, so I can avoid going outside for as long as possible (because glycolic acid is an AHA, and AHAs can cause UV sensitivity). It's pretty strong stuff, so make sure you start off only using it once or twice a week, and wearing SPF afterward, too.
