5 reasons You’ll Love ‘The Late Late Show’ Host James Corden

Meet James Corden: comedian, actor, hardcore British rapper (kind of), and the new host of “The Late Late Show.”

Meet James Corden: comedian, actor, hardcore British rapper (kind of), and the new host of "The Late Late Show."

Replacing Craig Ferguson, who ended his nine year stint as anchor of the show in April 2014, Corden has taken on the role in hopes of shaking up the late night television show, he tells The Mail Online.

If he looks familiar to you, you may have seen him in British television shows like "Fat Friends" or the Oscar-nominated film "Into the Woods" where he charmed the world as the Baker.

With Corden's varied career ranging from the stage to film, the Brit will expand his audience internationally when "The Late Late Show With James Corden" debuts March 23rd.

Here are five reasons you'll fall in love with late night television's newest host:

    1. He is a Tony Award-winning actor

In 2012 Corden was received a Tony Award for best actor for playing Francis

Henshall in the comedic play "One Man, Two Guvnors". But it was his emotional acceptance speech in which he thanked his "baby momma" Julia, the National Theatre cast, and urged young actors to never give up that melted hearts everywhere.

    2. He's a natural BFF

Known for his lovable roles as somebody's best friend, Corden has perfected the art of portraying the perfect BFF in the British show "Gavin and Stacey" and the movie "Begin Again," where he played the all-important role of Kiera Knightley's BFF.

    3. His rap skills!

Okay, he isn't really a rapper but he is featured on the #1 single "Shout" with British rapper Dizzee Rascal, which became the official anthem of the England football team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

    4. He's a good guy!

The comedian recently visited daytime show "The Talk" where he showed shoeless support in boycotting the fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana for their offensive comments about how IVF children are "synthetic." When his stylist tried to get him to wear D&G shoes on the show, he went on the set shoeless.

    5. He's already perfected the art of hosting

The BRIT Awards have relied on Corden since 2011 to be the host of the pop music award show. With his typically crude sense of humour and insanely funny jokes it's no surprise they keep him on the hosting roster.
