You Saved Me
When I was younger {just like every other girl} I dreamed about my prince charming and how he would come into my life, sweep me off my feet, and save me from any evil. I am a 20 year old woman sitting in my room, staring at these four walls with no prince charming, no handsome man came and swept me off my feet, nor did he save me from any evil. I do not have a prince charming.
Coming out of a pretty intense, and horrible relationship that completely broke me in half made me lose any perception of a 'prince charming' all my self-esteem was gone… vanished like a cold wind blowing through the trees in January. I for sure thought there was no one out there for me, no one to understand me and what I have been through, no one to love me unconditionally, and no one to talk to about anything and everything to…
…and then you came along.
You came into my life not at any sort of bad timing, you came into my life at a {perfect} time. You showed me what true unconditional love is. You showed me that there does not have to be a label on anything, or us. You showed me I am beautiful, even on my worst days. You gave me a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on. You showed me that "love conquers all". You showed me that it is okay to let loose, and take my hair down. You have showed me that fairy-tales are real, but they are not all the same.
You have always since the day we met hit me like a hurricane. All your words strike me like white lighting. And yes, when I am driving out that driveway of yours I wish I could have stayed a little longer.
So prince charming has nothing on you… because yes, you saved me. No you are no prince charming, but you are {my} Superwoman. Thank you for saving me.
