Songwriter Hopes New Song Will Inspire Buffy Like Response To The Dark Lord Orchestrating The Current Syrian Dilemma

    Like the Devil, not Obama.........racist.

    Astride the Whisper of Chaos

Writing from the point of view that still has a shred of sanity, I have composed this mock interview with myself in order to relay artistic commentary on geo-political events, poke a little fun and get music out to advance my career. Yep, I just went meta on yo' asses. So for your reading pleasure I present for you this take on current events.

In attempt to avoid the coming American bombing of Syria which is a prelude to World War and the end of times, Denton songwriter Brian Lambert has composed a short indie folk number designed to inspire some female with Buffy the Vampire Slayer like abilities to find and end the threat posed by the upcoming plans to bomb the beleaugered Syrian nation. In the spirit of an interview these responses were attained from Mr. Lambert surrounding his intentions.

You have stated that you believe that this song can help prevent the threat of war as posed by the current situation in Syria, please explain your line of thinking.

Well it's obvious that this whole mess is just being played out for the purpose of an apocalypse, so that a dark lord can rise and bring about an age of darkness to the earth. My hope is that through the secret code embedded within this song that the chose female slayer will awaken and take control of the situation, seek out the agents of darkness and end the threat.

Where do I begin with the levels of crazy which your response posits. Let's start with your whole assumption about the causes of this crisis that of a dark lord using geo political events to bring about an age of darkness. Doesn't that strike you as illogical and that people might feel you have lost your sanity and your very grip of reality itself?

So you think my explanation is illogical and crazy? While the idea that in order to bring about "peace" and end to the violence, that the American Government is going to strategically bomb a country in which we don't like either side of the conflict, there is no clear national interest and certainly will only escalate this conflict into a full scale global disaster is logical and not in least crazy? Really which of these ideas makes more sense. There is a dark lord orchestrating these events to bring about and apocalypse or we are going to bring peace to the region by bombing it? I mean the whole bringing to the representatives of the people angle screams, please people who already don't like America, attack us. To me having this be part of a bigger plan to bring about the end of civilization makes more sense than the idea that men who profess to be Christians are going to save lives and set a precedent for peace by bombing people.

Ok........ Let's address the next issue, so you think that you have embedded a secret message that will awaken a female savior by a folk pop art recording done on your computer?

    That's a two parter.

First the song is about a woman from a war torn area attempting to forget what had passed before. A pop folk art song so we just hit the highlights. By the end of the song she realizes there is no running from this coming storm so she has to stand up. There is also the tracks of me reading some well known poems underneath, you know arty shit.

Secondly, you need to think about what music is. It is frequencies, not all of which you are conscious of hearing. With no offense meant towards entertainers like Katie Perry, Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift, do you really think that massive amounts of people are listening to that "music" because of the artistic value?

Are you saying that the producers of said music are embedding subliminal frequencies designed to induce people to listen to and buy said music.

I'm not not saying it. It's probably happening in commercials and movies too. There is no way I the first to think of the idea of hiding frequencies in the music in order to subliminally affect people. Not a chance.

At this point due to the insane nature of your ramblings I think it is best we end this pseudo interview. Do you have anything else you would like to add?

Yes, share this story, share the song. Make sure that it has a chance to get to the ears of Buffy. The fate of the world depends on it. Plus I think it would be a big up for the old career. Saving the world is kind of important though as I can't imagine having much of a songwriting career in a post apocalyptic world. Though Adventure Time does give me some hope that at least it would be entertaining.

    Indeed.
