After edging us for what felt like 25 years, the patron saint of twinks, Troye Sivan, finally released his new song, "Rush" — and yes, it's a bop!!! The song is his lead single for his upcoming album, Something to Give Each Other, which will drop on Oct. 13.
And as Vulture puts best, the title "Rush" — which is also the name for a popular ~VHS head cleaner~ aka poppers — is "meant to invoke both the feeling of poppers and dancing with someone hot." Now, Troye is no stranger to writing cheeky songs with double meanings. After all, he wrote the bottoming anthem "Bloom."
Troye also released the accompanying music video for the song, and it's sweaty, grindy, slightly raunchy, and contains lots of queer party visuals:
