If you grew up in the '90s, then there is a 99% chance you grew up drinking Sunny Delight, more commonly referred to as SunnyD! It was the sugary refreshment that you basically drank at breakfast, lunch, dinner, after school, while having a snack, during soccer games, etc. Basically, there was never a time you couldn't drink it.
Now before someone in the comments starts saying, "WE GREW UP WITH IT TOO, YOU '90s KIDS AREN'T SPECIAL!" Yes, you definitely had it during your childhood as well. However, during the '90s, they really pushed this stuff alongside milk as a go-to drink — and because it had calcium and was orange-flavored, everybody basically thought it was good for you.
Well, SunnyD recently announced that they, like all these '90s clothes I keep seeing everywhere, are making a come back — but this time as a hard seltzer!!!
The new adult SunnyD is the same flavor as the original, but with vodka. So I guess sort of a screwdriver. But SunnyD describes it as: "We took your favorite legendary orange flavor and added vodka to create a delightful drinking experience that tastes like you're sipping on the sunshine."
I don't know about the whole tasting like you're sipping on sunshine thing, but I do know some people (most likely exclusively millennials) are intrigued...
In case you were wondering, SunnyD Vodka Seltzer will hit shelves in select markets starting this Saturday, March 11. And, as always, please remember to always drink responsibly!!!
Okay, '90s kids — now old millennials — is this something you'd want to try just for nostalgia's sake? Let me know in the comments below!!!
