Madonna was rushed to the hospital this past Saturday and placed in the ICU after developing a serious "bacterial infection."
The news of this broke earlier today after Madonna's long-time manager and business partner, Guy Oseary, posted about it on his Instagram.
All this comes as the legendary singer was set to start her eagerly anticipated The Celebration Tour — a tour to commemorate the 40th anniversary of her career — on July 15 in Vancouver.
According to Guy (pictured on the left), the tour is now postponed, but they will share a new start date and dates for postponed shows as soon as they have them.
While Madonna was in serious condition, Guy did reassure fans that she is doing better, saying, "Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected."
