Britney Spears Shared A Playlist Of Her Favorite Songs From The 2000s, And Honesty There Are No Skips In It

Now That's What Britney Calls Music!

It goes without saying that Britney Spears is a legend who single-handedly transformed pop music in the late '90s, and continued to have a huge impact on it throughout the '00s.

Heck, she has impact even today! Britney released a 4-year-old song yesterday and it went to No. 1 on iTunes.

“#MoodRing (By Demand)” by Britney Spears has reached #1 on US iTunes. Congratulations, @BritneySpears! 🍾

Well recently, Britney celebrated the 20th anniversary of her iconic sophomore album, Oops!...I Did It Again.

And to celebrate the milestone, Britney recently took over Apple's "I Miss Y2K Pop" playlist and shared her favorite songs from that era.

Britney told Apple Music that a lot of the songs on the playlist reminded her of when the album came out, saying:

I can't believe it's been 20 years since a lot of these songs came out. For me these songs remind me of the time period when Oops! came out, which was a special time for me. I hope you love them like I do.

The playlist does include a ton of classics from the decade, like Destiny's Child's "Say My Name"...

...Backstreet Boys' "Shape of My Heart"...

    ...and Ashanti's "Foolish."

But it also includes some unexpected choices, like her alleged musical rival Christina Aguilera's "What A Girl Wants"...

...and her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body."

Britney also listed her top three songs from the playlist. They were Mariah Carey's classic "Always Be My Baby"...

...Beyoncé's "Crazy In Love," which she said really makes her want to dance...

...and the Dixie Chicks' "Cowboy Take Me Away," which holds a a special place for Britney, who said, "I still listen to this song makes — me think of being outside, and falling in love, of course!"

All I can say is: Honestly, this whole playlist is perfect for any millennial who loved the late '90s and '00s music! It brings back so many memories — so thank you for this, Britney!
