Following the sudden death of Jim Henson, in 1990, two public memorial services were held. The first one was held in New York City at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine and the other one was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Both of the memorials featured Muppet performances.
The highlight of the performances, was a beautifully sad rendition of Kermit the Frog’s signature song, “Bein’ Green,” performed by Big Bird.
