Tom Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots, recent Super Bowl champions, reacted strongly to accusations from the NFL that his balls were too soft in the AFC Champion game.
"I don't let anyone fiddle with my balls," Brady stated, "after they're inspected by the referees they're strictly in the hands of the ball boys. And they know the proper way to treat my balls."
When questioned about earlier statements about his preference for his balls after teammate Rob Gronkowski spiked them, he replied, "Sure, I prefer my balls soft, and I love pounding them into tight ends, much more than wide receivers. Seeing Gronk with his hands firmly on my balls and driving hard, that's just a great feeling."
The owner of the Patriots, Robert Kraft, was also supportive of Brady. "If anyone knows their balls, it's Tom," the owner said. "I don't get my hands involved with his balls and how they're handled. That's between him and his teammates."
