Meet Alby, The Extremely Rare And Extremely Cute Albino Turtle

    SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

A hatchling albino green turtle has been spotted on a beach on Australia's Sunshine Coast.

Alby, whose sex isn't known, is the first albino turtle the Coolum District Coast Care Group has spotted in nine years of turtle monitoring.

One of 122 hatchlings, Alby now makes the difficult journey from the beach to the continental shelf. There will be plenty of hardships, like water currents and predators, that could cut Alby's journey short.

If Alby does manage to make the journey successfully (and is also a girl) she could be back to nest on the same beach she was born in around thirty years.

All the best Alby, we believe in you!
