NZ Fashion Label Under Criticism For Bull-Riding Commercial

Glassons, who earlier this month were criticized for mannequins with protruding ribs, has sparked more controversy with video of a model riding a bull.

Clothing store Glassons is under fire from animal activists for its latest advertising campaign featuring a rodeo bull.

The video shows a model riding a bull, shot from various angles.

Animal rights group SAFE has encouraged members of the public to write to Glassons to take the video down.

Overnight, Twitter erupted with criticism for the new campaign.

Damn GLASSONS is on a roll first to skinny manakins now animal abuse wow

Ladies & Gentlemen, get your first row seats to watch Glassons dig themselves into a very deep hole. IT'S FREE!

How stupid can the @Glassons marketing team get. First the over skinny mannequins & now a chick bull riding. Hello! Animal abuse isn't cool.

Now Glassons is using a woman riding a rodeo bull in their ads...? #courtingcontroversy

@Glassons Please remove your rodeo advert, it's outdated, unethical and promotes animal cruelty. #badmarketing #disappointed

@Glassons Really??? Glamorising both arson and animal cruelty in your latest ad campaign???? I just.....can't...even......

I don't mean to jump on the band wagon, but for fs, what was @Glassons thinking with that awful bull tv ad. #vegetariancauseiloveanimals

Boycott #Glassons because they support animal abuse

Someone also asked Lorde for her opinion (of course).

@lordemusic Dear Lorde. What is your view on the Glasson's bull-riding TV ad? TIA.
