New Zealand MP David Seymour has become the victim of his own rambling after discussions about the nation's new flag led him to proclaim "the French love the cock."

Seymour was discussing his thoughts on the ​*new*​ New Zealand flag, and whether or not it needed to include the famous ‘silver fern’ associated with New Zealand’s sporting teams.

In an attempt to reference the French "Coq Sportif" logo, things rapidly got giggly for the ACT Party leader.
