Bluegrass Brunch In Vegas Is Hot AF

If anyone knows me, they know I love me some bluegrass music. You pair that with bottomless mimosas and you've got yourself a deal! Downtown Crown Pub is the newest edition to the ever changing and growing 18b Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas. A sister property to the two popular local watering holes "Crown and Anchor", Downtown Crown Pub offers an English Culture atmosphere and menu to boot.

I was joined with about 15 of my buddies and my dad who was visiting from out of town. The bluegrass band that normally has residency there was booked on another gig, so they had a duet that filled in for them. I was a little bummed to hear that at first because I'm familiar with the OG band and I know they are legit. I figured we'd give it a shot. Hey bad bluegrass is better than no bluegrass, right?!

We sat out on the patio on a beautiful Vegas day. The patio was a buzz with like-minded brunchers and pups. Yup! they allow dogs on the patio, so a couple of us brought our pooches. Our animals shouldn't have to suffer at home alone because of our lush habits. I don't think so anyway.

Our server was cute and friendly. All of the gals working there wore super tiny kilt-style *skirts and tall socks. "I don't think she's wearing underwear", (something no girl wants to hear her dad say) as our server leaned over the table next to us to take their order. Grow up dad!

*I was gonna take a pic to give you the full effect but thought it was borderline creepy/inappropriate/ I think you can go to jail for stuff like that.

Now on to the important part: Bottomless Mimosassssss!!! We promptly ordered our bottomless mimosas from our bottomless server and she brought out a hand full at a time. By the time she came out with the others, we were were ready for round two. They were much more OJ than champagne, and we asked that they lay off the Vitamin C on the next round. They didn't.

The duet is now set up and starts to play. They were awesome and played quite a bit more instrumental than singing which was fine, but I like to be able to belt out all of my favorite songs once my buzz kicks in. They were good though and this group of fanboys didn't seem to mind.

We continued to suck down the OJ filled champagne flutes and decided to order some food since we didn't have a buzz to kill anyhow. I ordered the daily brunch special which was an English take on a quiche. The potatoes were really good, and the English bacon being passed around the table was legit as well.

As we finished our dishes, we asked for more champagne and no OJ. We got instead, what was closer to a real mimosa...progress.

Due to the lack of a buzz, we decided it would be a good idea to take shots. It's getting hot outside, the music is still good. Mimosas began to come out more frequently and with more champagne. Life is good.

I definitely want to go back when the OG band is there and hopefully experience a bottomless mimosa that won't give me type 2 diabetes.
