During their offseason, professional athletes can be forgiven for wanting to spend a little time relaxing and letting it all hang out. Unfortunately, some of them take this a little bit too literally at times, i.e. Dustin Byfuglien.
I’ve been to the Rogers Centre on numerous occasions since I first came to Toronto in 2006. (As well as going to watch games as a fan, I worked on the game day staff during the 2007 season and covered games from the press box, while writing for T.O. Sports in 2008.)
There is no denying that Dallas Eakins leaving Toronto to join the Edmonton Oilers is a big blow. His ability to develop young players such as Nazem Kadri and Jake Gardiner was beneficial to both the Marlies and the Leafs.
One of many dilemmas facing the Leafs is whether or not to resign Tyler Bozak, who is eligible to become a free agent this summer. While he is not viewed as one of the top centres in the NHL, Bozak still plays an important role for the team, including being their top faceoff man.

Well, it’s Friday and I think I’ve finally just about recovered from my photo shoot with the Argonauts cheerleaders. (Okay, I promise that’s the last time I’ll mention it. This week.) Mind you, as you’ll see from this edition of the top Toronto athlete sightings of the week, photo shoots seem to be a bit of a running theme.
