Why You Should Go To Dance Marathon

12 hours out of a Saturday..what?! $25 fundraising minimum? But here are the reasons why those twelve hours are incredibly worth it.

No more Sprouling to strangers or dealing with the same person's photo all over your Facebook newsfeed! DM is the perfect way to take a well-deserved break from hard campaigning.

Every registrant gets a free t-shirt, this is GUARANTEED if you register by 3/20/15 (NOTE: we'll be ordering extras so chances are you will get one, but no promises).

This isn't your typical Cal Dining menu. We'll be serving a variety of dishes throughout the day, ranging from hot dogs to pasta. Plus food from local businesses will be coming in as well. Be prepared to gulp down yogurt from Yogurtland, salad from Cut'N Clean, KIND bars, and much more!

5. Performances!

Award winning student groups such as Berkeley Dil Se, UC Men's Octet, and Cal Band will be performing, so come out and support your local student organizations!

We'll be giving out prizes via raffle ticket lottery and to people who've fundraised the most! Some of the goodies in the mix include photoshoot packages, gift cards to local businesses, gym memberships, and DVDs.

7. The Dance Floor

The DJs will be making this a dance floor you'll never forget. With song requests and 5 hours of club DM, this will beat any typical Saturday kickback

This is your chance to kick back with your floor/frat/sorority/any group of friends! Form a team and help fundraise to increase your chances of winning prizes!

A few years ago, 900 infants a day were infected with HIV every day. Now that number is 700. Lesson to be learned: YOUR WORK THROUGH DM DOES PAY OFF. All the money from Dance Marathon goes toward the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation, which proves maternal and neonatal health care, water sanitation, and antiretroviral therapy (which prevents infants from getting HIV/AIDS from their mothers) in over 30 countries. They've treated millions of women and aren't stopping anytime soon.
