Sophie Turner Actually Gave Away A Massive "Game Of Thrones" Spoiler Months Ago

You mean to say it was there this whole time?!

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this but just in case you somehow missed the headline, THERE ARE GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

So, if you haven't seen the latest (and final) episode of Game of Thrones, stop right there or proceed at your own peril. You've been warned...

OK, so now that's out of the way, we can finally talk. Last night marked the end of an era as one of the most successful TV shows of all time came to an end. After eight seasons, countless battles, and more incest than is, quite frankly, necessary, it was Bran (?!?!?!) who prevailed and became ruler of the six kingdoms.

Meanwhile, Sansa took a crown for herself to become the Queen in the North, Arya decided to do a Christopher Columbus and go sightseeing to explore what's west of Westeros, while Jon was sent back to the Night's Watch for killing Daenerys.

But although Game of Thrones has basically been a heavily guarded vault to keep the secrets of Season 8 a surprise, it turns out that Sophie Turner actually gave away a massive spoiler 11 months ago!

For those who don't remember, Sophie sent fans into a spiral last year when she revealed a Game of Thrones–inspired tattoo. The inking, a direwolf representing House Stark, included the words: "The pack survives."

This, of course, had fans freaking out as they assumed Sophie had dropped an accidental spoiler about the fate of the surviving Stark family. However, she then came out a couple of days later to calm the chaos and said: "It’s just a quote from last season but everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral I like to live by."

Fast-forward to last night and what do you know — Sansa, Arya, Jon, and Bran were all left standing. The pack really did survive.

Season 8 completed filming in early July 2018, a couple of weeks after Sophie got her tattoo, so she probably knew the fate of her character by then. And she even revealed that she was advised against getting the tattoo because it looked like she was giving the game away.

So, maybe Sophie denying it was a spoiler was just her trying to throw us off the scent this whole time. Well played, Sophie!
