In case you didn't hear, allow me to be the bearer of great news: Shay Mitchell is pregnant!
Yes, the Pretty Little Liars actor shocked everyone by jumping on the 'gram and showing off her baby bump alongside the caption: "Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?"
And since the bump reveal, Mitchell has been proudly showing it off on Instagram in a series of recent holiday snaps.
But that's not what we're here to talk about. Today I would like to draw your attention to Mitchell's gender-reveal party. Spoiler alert: It might just be the most batshit thing you've ever seen in your life, so buckle up!
A video posted to Mitchell's YouTube channel, titled "Do NOT Try This Gender Reveal at Home", no less, shows her attending a routine scan alongside boyfriend Matte Babel. The doctor asks if they want to know the gender of their baby but both decline, saying that Mitchell's assistant is planning a surprise reveal later.
Before the big moment, Mitchell and Babel call up their family and friends to ask for their predictions, and although the parents-to-be think they're having a boy, almost everybody else thinks it's a girl.
And so it's time for the moment of truth. Both Mitchell and Babel are waiting expectantly for the gender to be revealed, when suddenly a blue Power Ranger appears. It's a boy!
But wait a minute, not so fast — a pink Power Ranger bursts onto the scene too while Mitchell says, somewhat confused: "Wait, what? We're not having twins!"
And Mitchell is right; they're not having twins. No, they're going to sit and watch as the two Power Rangers fight each other until the bitter end.
While Mitchell and Babel watch on, completely baffled by what they're seeing, the fight begins.
No, really, they literally have no idea what the hell is going on!
Then suddenly things take a rather dramatic turn when both Power Rangers fall into the swimming pool...and realise they can't BREATHE because of their masks!
Cut to Babel and Mitchell, who have realised the problem and watch in horror instead of leaping up to help. Don't panic, guys, they're only suffocating!
After a brief pause to remove the masks (and reveal that the Power Rangers are actually friends of the couple), the fight resumes until one of them emerges victorious from the pool.
That's right, everybody, Mitchell and Babel are having a baby girl! Congrats to the happy couple! 💖
