OK look, I'm sorry that we have to talk about anal worms right now, but if you're looking for someone to blame, it's Kristen Bell.
Kristen recently appeared on The Joel McHale Show and somehow (I still don't actually know how) the conversation got onto anal worms.
"I did have anal worms two weeks ago, I swear to god. They're called pinworms."
Kristen explained, while being photographed at the same time, that she'd actually caught them from her kids.
"Your kids get them because they put their hands in their mouth and they lay eggs."
According to Kristen, her daughter's preschool had a breakout of pinworms that resulted in all the carpets having to be ripped up and replaced.
Talking about how she found out that her 3-year-old had caught them, Kristen said: "You have to monitor it and look in their poop and when you wipe their butt, sure enough I wiped and saw a little white worm."
And was it painful when Kristen caught them herself? "No, but it was very itchy."
