There's room for two Harley Quinns after all!
Margot took on the role first, appearing on the big screen in Suicide Squad before taking centre stage in Birds of Prey. Meanwhile, Kaley is currently the voice behind Harley Quinn in the animated TV series, which is entering its third season.
"Margot was interested in what we were doing and we had a couple of conversations with her, but it was mostly because she was curious because they were concurrently doing Birds of Prey," Justin said. "We pitched out a few episodes to her and our general arc and she was very thoughtful and kind and just listened and that was kind of it. It wasn't like she said no and then we went to Kaley, Margot just wanted to be informed."
"They each balked," a report claimed. "Not only is there professional jealousy, but they also just don't like each other."
Reports further continued to claim that a source had revealed Margot thought Kaley's portrayal of Harley Quinn was "lame" while Kaley thought Margot's portrayal of the character was "over the top".
"When Harley became kind of a big deal and then when Birds of Prey came out, there were all these stories that me and Margot Robbie were feuding," Kaley said in Interview Magazine. "But I've never even met her. I love her."
"There was an article that came out that said we would not show up together at Comic-Con. We refused to be on the same stage together," she explained. "Neither of us was even at Comic-Con, OK?"
In response to this, Kaley said: "And that's very rare."
