I hate to remind you all of bad news, but you'll probably remember that a couple of months ago, Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum announced their separation.
But just in case I haven't broken your heart enough, here's a refresher of the statement the pair put out on Instagram.
Like I said, that was a couple of months ago, so why am I even bringing this up? Well, Jenna just made an appearance on The Late Late Show, where she did a segment called "Seatbelt Psychic" based off the American TV show of the same name.
So basically Jenna was picked up by psychic medium Thomas John, who gave her a reading while driving her around. And the very first thing he said was that there were a lot of dead people in the car with them, so you can understand why Jenna looked a little shook.
Thomas first revealed that Jenna's grandfather on her dad's side was there and that he got the feeling he'd died before she was born. As you can tell by Jenna's reaction, Thomas was bang on the money.
To let her know he was legit, Thomas even managed to guess that her grandfather's initials were EL, which is just a little terrifying because his name was Elias.
After revealing that there was an astronaut in the family (true), guessing her grandmother's name (Betsy), and saying that cardinals were a flower that Betsy used to communicate with Jenna and her mom (true), you can see why Jenna was freaking out.
But things got even more interesting when Thomas started talking about Jenna's other grandfather, revealing that there was a message he needed to give Jenna about soulmates. The message started by saying that "soulmates in life take on many different forms" and don't always have to be romantic.
But then there seemed to be an indication that the message could be about Jenna's breakup with Channing. Thomas said:
I do feel there's been a whole inventory with your friendships, your relationships, like needing to look at certain things. You can go forward in confidence knowing that there's a lot of support for the decisions you're making.
This follows Jenna's interview with Women's Health, where she spoke about her breakup with Channing.
She said:
I think everyone wants to hold on to what’s in front of them, but when you open your mind, saying, ‘I want what’s best for myself and my daughter,’ you have to be okay with however that looks. It’s okay for a relationship to change into a new form that is actually better for both people involved.
And it's clear that the two are still on good terms. Channing even gave a shoutout to Jenna on Mother's Day.
So if the message from Jenna's grandfather is true, maybe the two are still soulmates after all. 👀
