Hayley Williams Wants You To Know That No, She's Isn't Dead

    "I'm *not* dead (I don’t think)."

An online rumour claiming that Paramore's Hayley Williams died recently has gotten so out of hand that Hayley herself had to step forward to shut it down.

The hoax originated on Twitter (of course) and soon enough, everybody appeared to be mourning the loss of Hayley.

The rumour began to spread quickly, with people using the hashtag #RIPHayleyWilliams.

my entire tl is mourning hayley..... may she rest in peace 😔😭 #riphayleywilliams

a moment of silence for a lost icon... may she rest in peace #RIPhayleywilliams

    #RIPhayleywilliams i cant believe she’s gone

In fact, the rumour spread so far that it eventually reached Hayley herself, who posted a screenshot of one of the tweets alongside a message telling everybody the good news. In the same tweet, she also denied the rumour that Paramore are currently recording a new album.

this week on The Internet Hurts™️: I’m *not* dead (I don’t think) and @paramore are *not* in the studio right now making our 6th album (I’m sorry).

Hayley quickly followed it up with another tweet, replying to someone who said: "Imagine if people put this much energy in their own lives."

well... bands would be nothing without people giving a shit. but... this musing is valid, nonetheless. https://t.co/qmn0izLxWj

She also liked a tweet poking fun at previous pregnancy rumours.

@yelyahwilliams @paramore you just need another pregnancy rumour and you’re set !

Hayley definitely isn't the only celebrity to get embroiled in a death hoax. Last year, actor Henry Cavill posted a selfie to Instagram as proof he was alive and well after rumours spread that he'd died two days before.
