Pizza of Louisville

One of the perks of attending Bellarmine University is the convenience of being just minutes away from delicious pizza at all times. Louisville is full of all types, shapes and sizes of pizza and pizza restaurants. Bardstown Road in particular is home to at least eight different pizza restaurants along with countless others around the Louisville area. 8. Diorio’s Pizza and Pub

A family owned favorite, Diorio’s makes their mozzarella fresh in house daily, as well as their crust. Order by the slice or get a NY style pizza delivered right to your dorm. What more could you ask for?

7. Wick’s Pizza Parlor and Pub

Superior Super Smash Brothers skills? This is the place for you. Pick up some extra dough (see what I did there?) during Wick’s Super Smash Brothers tourneys or just drop in for one of their hand-tossed pizzas.

6. Za’s Pizza Pub

Za’s describes itself as the “Best little pizza joint this side of Bonnycastle” (specific, but true). A local favorite, Za’s is known for their great pizza, subs and people watching.

5. Bearno’s

Louisville’s Neighborhood Pizza since 1977, Bearno’s hand-tossed pizzas are a local classic. With locations all around the Louisville area, you should have no problem enjoying their pizza no matter where your day takes you.

4. Spinelli’s Pizzeria

This is one of the most interesting restaurants in Louisville. Each location has its own unique décor making every visit an awesome experience. To go along with the décor, Spinelli’s also has one-of-a-kind hours of operation. They are open from 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. making it the ideal place to grab a bite to eat at 3 a.m. after a long cram session.

3. Impellizzeri’s Pizza

If you’re looking for an over-the-top pizza experience, look no further than Impellizzeri’s. Every pizza is piled high with two layers of toppings and cheese, and has been dubbed “Louisville Style Pizza.” Their spaghetti isn’t half bad either.

2. Mellow Mushroom

This restaurant lives up to its name with the hippie décor and laid back staff. You can do some serious pizza customization with their numerous topping options as well as several different crusts and sauces. Lucky for us Bellarmine students, they just opened a new location minutes from campus on Bardstown Road.

1. BoomBozz Pizza and Taphouse

A favorite of Bellarmine students, with their gourmet recipes and extensive beer menu, BoomBozz is a great place to catch the next ball game and hang out with friends. Whether you are in the mood for pizza, a calzone or any other number of Italian dishes, BoomBozz can serve it up.
