21 Things That'll Make All Anxious People Say, "Yep, That's Me"

"If you're alive, you answer your phone!!!"

    1. When you're alone in the house and you literally can't cope because monsters, burglars, ghosts.

    2. When you send a friend a message but they don't get back straight away.

    3. When they STILL haven't texted back and you're beginning to freak out.

    4. When you realise it was the worst message ever and you can't believe you sent it.

    5. When you accept that your friendship's over, they'll never speak to you again, and all because you sent that stupid text.

    6. When they finally text you back, and everything's completely fine, and you're just like...

    7. When you obsessively check to make sure everything is OK and nothing is going to burn down.

    8. When you get to the station and then you're like, "But did I definitely turn it all the way off?"

    9. Even small things can trigger your anxiety. Like when you're stuck in traffic and you're going to be late.

    10. Or when you have to do more than one thing at once, and one of the things is already going wrong.

    11. Or when your loved ones don't keep in touch with regular updates to let you know they're safe and well.

    12. You have been known to be slightly irrational if someone's late to meet you.

    13. This is your motto, basically:

    14. The news is not your friend.

    15. You don't need ANY more encouragement.

    16. Even if you look normal on the outside, on the inside you quite often look like this:

    17. Because when you're anxious and stressed, you change – kind of like a rubbish, not very strong or useful version of the Incredible Hulk.

    18. And if you're not freaking out, you're recovering from the last freakout. All this can be ~exhausting~.

    19. And YES, you've tried meditating...but it doesn't always work.

    20. Sometimes there's no concrete reason why you're feeling anxious, you just have to sit it out.

    21. And wait till you feel calm again. Which you will.
