1. Attach a thoughtful, descriptive cover letter to your application.

2. Brevity is the soul of wit. Get to the point quickly and concisely!

3. Lead with your best traits. You need to show your prospective employer the VERY best version of yourself.

4. It's not all about work experience! Be sure to describe how you have given back to your community.


5. Don't leave any gaps in your resumé! Include all relevant experience.

6. Go into detail about your educational background.

7. Lean in! An aggressive candidate will always stand out.

8. List any personal, non-career achievements that you're particularly proud of.

9. Be sure to indicate any prizes, awards, or honorary degrees that you've earned.

10. Just because this is a professional resume doesn't mean it can't be just a little bit sexy.
