As you may know, most of the US is in the vise-like grip of winter

But here in California, our relationship with winter is a bit odd...

After a long hot summer, some of us are ready for cool weather

Online everyone posts cute pictures of freshly fallen snow, scarves, and mugs of cocoa.

However, in California, it's in the 90s well into November and we're all like

But then suddenly the temperature will drop by about 60 degrees.

It may even snow!

But only in the mountains

After a week of bone-chilling 40 degree weather we're ready for our usual California sun.

But then it gets too hot again and we repeat the process all over.
