These High Schoolers Just Changed Your Period Forever

The coolest tampon. Period.

Think high-tech (but also totally safe) tampons that message you when they need to be changed

Their company, Eve, (hopes to) manufacture tampons that have a biochip in them that measure saturation and then text you after a certain limit.

The teens are high schoolers from across the US that met up at a Management and Technology camp at the University of Pennsylvania (which has the best business school in the US so you know these kids are for real).

They came up with their final project by thinking about things that haven't been changed in a long time (like feminine hygiene products) and bringing them into the 21st century. One of them said that "Everything is electronic now, why not vaginas?"

They say it can help prevent TSS, cramps, and even STIs

They already have a functioning prototype (!!!!) and are keen on bringing it to the market in the future. Also don't worry pad users -- they're working on making a version for you too.
