    High School Band Has Instruments Stolen

    Thieves stole $8,000 - $10,000 estimated worth of instruments and equipment from Pasadena, CA high school band room overnight, days before planned performances and a trip to Disneyland.

    On Saturday night, unidentified thieves stole flutes, trumpets, trombones, saxophones, guitars, bass amps, and a sound system (recently purchased through a grant) from the Mighty Eagles Marching Band at Marshall Fundamental in Pasadena, CA. The break in happened just days before the band was supposed to perform both at an All District Music Festival and at Disneyland.

    A public school, roughly 70% of Marshall students qualify for free and reduced lunch programs, based on their family's financial needs. In order for the band to rebuild, financial support is needed from those who are able to give.
