Who is Angel Haze?

Angel Haze, born Raeen Roes Wilson, is a 24 year old rapper/singer from Detroit. Angel has released EPs and mixtapes online, and in 2013 she released her debut album Dirty Gold. In 2015, she released another mixtape online, called Back to the Woods. In addition to these awesome mixtapes, Angel has recorded various covers and remixes of well known songs, including a remix of Missy Elliot's Gossip Folks, and Beyonce's Drunk in Love. Angel has an addicting personality, and she's even been a co-host on MTV's Catfish. Angel is a talented rapper, she writes thought provoking lines, and she's got a great sense of humor. That's why she's this week's VIP artist.

One of my favorite Angel Haze songs, Werkin Girls' beat gets me pumped up. This song was actually in the soundtrack for "The Heat", so you might recognize it (that was some pretty cool exposure). The girl can rap. Let's be real.

2. BATTLE CRY

OK this might actually be my favorite Angel Haze song. The message is SO powerful. The song features the one and only, Sia. The music video is pretty intense, it goes into her childhood and shows some challenges in her life that she has had to overcome. Truly an inspiring song with an uplifting message. Plus Sia kills it on the chorus (when does Sia NOT kill it though...am I right or am I right).

Angel raps and sings on this track, what can't she do? I don't know about you, but I get some "Drunk in Love" vibes on this song. If you need a slower, chill song, this is it. Press play, sit back, and enjoy.

Angel Haze puts so much energy into her live shows. It's crazy. She can spit her lines SO fast and dance around the stage without loosing her breath. So basically the Beyonce of rap. Angel really gets her audience involved, and even goes out into the crowd to perform songs. Plus, her songs have sick beats so even if you don't know the words, you can still have a great time.

Angel Haze has gotten critical career advice from Yeezy himself, Mr. Kanye West. He suggested that she incorporate her singing into more of her music. I thank Yeezus for that suggestion, because the result has been beautiful. I love the tracks where she raps and sings, and not many people can do it as well as she can. For those reasons, I rate Angel Haze a:
