We Tried All The Ice Cream At Harry Potter World And Here's What Happened

Hello there! I'm Arielle — Ravenclaw, Potterhead, person that is still mad that Fred died — and my friend Caryn and I recently went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida.

While I've been there many a time, I haven't explored everything to the deepest level that a Potterhead should tbh.

I did once get picked for the wand ceremony at Ollivander's though. So I'm pretty much a big deal.

And so I thought, why not try all the ice creams at Florean Fortescue's in Diagon Alley and rank them?? All in the name of ~journalism~.

Idk, you guys.

There are actually a total of 18 flavors, but because I didn't want to die, I decided to go with the hard pack ice cream flavors (excluding chocolate and vanilla because we all know what those taste like).

The flavors included: Earl Grey & Lavender, Strawberry Peanut Butter, Apple Crumble, Raspberry & Chocolate, Clotted Cream, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Salted Caramel Blondie, and Chocolate Chili.

We've rated these out of five lightning bolts and provided thoughts. Enjoy!

8. Chocolate Chili

Caryn: You don't taste the chili until you can't stop tasting the chili! And then it hits your throat!

Arielle: Wow, it's there. It's not going away! It's not bad, I just don't know if I want a kick of spice at the end of a cold and melty dessert.

6. Raspberry & Chocolate

Arielle: That raspberry hits at the end. I enjoy it, just not as much as some of the others. Although I definitely support a chocolate + fruit combo.

Caryn: I'm not much of a chocolate person but the raspberry was delightful.

7. Apple Crumble

Arielle: It's good, but a little too sweet. It does have chunks of apples though which is cool. I feel like a scoop of this on top of warm apple pie would be clutch.

Caryn: Apple Crumble was my favorite of all the fruit ones, but like I said, maybe it's because I'm not much of a chocolate person.

5. Earl Gray & Lavender

Arielle: I don't know how to describe this. It's refreshing, but I literally don't know how to describe the taste.

Caryn: I feel like I'm eating a flower? Not in a bad way though.

4. Strawberry Peanut Butter

Arielle: This is one of my favorites. I love peanut butter, so you can't go wrong here. I could eat this at the end of every meal.

Caryn: It's different. I don't really like the peanut butter, but with the strawberry it's better. I just think peanut butter ice cream is weird.

3. Sticky Toffee Pudding

Caryn: It's nice and buttery.

Arielle: I don't know how to describe this properly, besides it being buttery and magical. The chunks of toffee are superb.

2. Clotted Cream

Arielle: It has a sour taste to it, but not in a bad way. It's actually surprisingly great.

Caryn: I liked that way more than I thought I was going to. This is a second place for me.

1. Salted Caramel Blondie

Caryn: I want to eat this and Sticky Toffee Pudding together for the rest of my life.

Arielle: It's really good, got that sweet and salty combo I love. 10 points to Salted Caramel Blondie!

Overall, Clotted Cream was the surprising flavor, and you can't go wrong with Salted Caramel.
