1) Barry Sloane (Niall Rafferty 2007-2008)

For two years he played villain Niall Rafferty but native Scouser Barry has made it in Hollywood. He has a recurring role in Revenge and will star opposite Russell Crowe, yes, THE Russell Crowe, in upcoming biblical epic Noah.

2) Andrew McNair (Dan Hunter 2001-2004)

After leaving Hollyoaks McNair wandered the acting wilderness landing small parts in average programmes. Then he landed the big role of Thomas Seymour in Golden Globe nominated period drama The Tudors. Unfortunately, he then went on to act in Doctors and Casualty. Off with his head!

3) Roxanne McKee (Louise Summers 2005-2008)

Man eater Roxanne looked destined for the bargain basket when she quit Hollyoaks only with a list of lads mags photoshoots to her name. She has since starred in cult classic Game Of Thrones and is currently filming Hollywood blockbuster Hercules 3D, opposite Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz.

4) Will Mellor (Jambo Bolton 1995-1998, 2004)

The heartthrob left a dozen or so fans crying with his emotional exit from Hollyoaks, but Will has had a steady stream of quiet TV hits. He paid the bills with Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, White Van Man and In with the Flynns. And is now flexing his thespian muscles in Broadchurch. The boy's done good.

5) Kerrie Taylor (Lucy Benson 1995-2000)

Yes, he was guilty of date raping girls in Hollyoaks, but in real life Wazza is a good old fashioned grafter. Leaving the best looking soap cast ever was the best thing he ever did. Not only can he call the king of cool Idris Elba a good friend, his CV is looking pretty awesome too. Mr Brown has since appeared in The Dark Knight Rises and starred in Byzantium with Gemma Arterton as well as television shows Homefront, Good Cop, Inside Men and Luther. Bravo.

7) Max Brown (Kristian Hargreaves 2002-2004)

Much like Andy McNair, Max also starred in The Tudors as sibling Edward Seymour (His on screen sister Jane totally married Henry VIII and gave birth to a son before dying) But unlike McNair, Max has found success in the US with hit show Beauty and the Beast. His Hollyoaks cast mates must be growling with jealousy.

8) Emma Rigby (Hannah Ashworth 2005-2010)

Oh my sweet sweet Hannah. Plagued with mental illness and anorexia, luckily the actress who played her is completely sane. Ms Rigby's resume speaks for itself. Right now she is working on The Counselor which stars the gorgeous Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender and Javier Bardem. Oh and Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz are also in it. Ohhhh and Sir Ridley Scott is directing it. No biggie. She will also have a lead role in The Physician opposite Stellan Skarsgård, Sir Ben Kingsley and Olivier Martinez.

9) Nathalie Emmanuel (Sasha Valentine 2006-2010)
