1. Metallics

This “punky and futuristic” makeup look by Charlotte Tilbury rocked the runway at Donna Karan’s fall 2014 show. According to Vogue France, Tilbury relied on a charcoal lid with metallic gray shading in the inner corner of the eye.

2. Crazy Colors

“Urban, street, city—it’s quite shocking,” makeup artist Pat McGrath told Vogue of the electric blue “glitter-on-latex” eye she created backstage at Dior. To get the look, McGrath used multiple layers of liquid latex and finished it off by pressing loose glitter on top.

3. Glittery Lips

According to Beauty High, NARS artist James Kaliardos created this glimmering Rodarte lip by using Mambo Eyeliner as a base and then layering it with Deborah Audacious Lipstick. Then came a sheen of Rouge Tribal Larger Than Life Lip Gloss, topped off by shiny metallic glitter.

4. Super Long Lashes

Pat McGrath created this Sixties-inspired look for Gucci by contouring the lids with a taupe-colored powder, then drawing a wing along both lash lines with liquid pens and black pencils. Of course, she also added lots of false lashes to the upper and lower lids.

At Armani Privé Couture, subtle eye makeup and a barely-there lip made models' heavily penciled-in brows the stars of the show.

6. Ethereal Glow

According to Makeup For Life, NARS Director of Global Artistry James Boehmer created an ethereal look for Naeem Khan using NARS skin Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer, Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Radiant Creamy Concealer, and Light Reflecting Loose Powder.

7. Berry Lips

According to Allure, makeup artist Diane Kendal created pinkish-purple berry-stained lips for Carolina Herrera by swiping on M.A.C. Lipstick in Boysenberry and then blotting it away for a fresh and feminine look.

8. Sparkling Eyes

"I wanted to give the message of playful sophistication, in a modern way," makeup artist Tom Pecheux told Allure of the sparkly look he created for Altuzarra. Pecheux prepped the models' lids with foundation before coating a small, flat shadow brush with clear lip gloss. Then he dipped the gloss into golden-lime glitter and carefully dabbed it onto the lids. "You want [the glitter] to look diffused, not chunky or patchy," he explained.

9. Smokey Brown Eyes

According to Beauty High, this smokey brown Rodarte look by James Kaliardos was created by using a new NARS duo called Dolomites. For maximum effect, Kaliardos blended the shadow across the crease and up into the brow bone. Then he applied Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara to lashes and brushed the brows with Brow Gel.

10. Bare Minimum

Makeup artist Diane Kendal created this bare look for Proenza Schouler, but it's not as simple as it seems. Style explains, "She gave models a dewy sheen by applying moisturizer under and over any base products. The makeup pro then dabbed brown grease on the lids and lower lash lines before removing it with more moisturizer and a cotton swab, leaving behind a subtle residue." After that, MAC Cremeblend Blush in Posey was tapped onto the apples of the cheeks, and lips were toned down with foundation. Kendal curled the lashes, but decided against mascara because she felt bare lashes were more modern.

11. Frosted Lips

Both Kendall Jenner and frosted lips (reminiscent of the '90s) made a splash at Marc Jacob's Fall 2014 show. For this icy look, Allure explains, "To give lips a cool, almost tinny shimmer, NARS dabbed on Striptease, an ever-so-slightly iridescent nude gloss, then dusted a silvery shadow on top."

12. Wine-Stained Lips

These wine-stained lips were created by Lisa Eldridge for Matthew Williamson. Similar oxblood looks were seen at Rebecca Minkoff, Zimmermann, Tracy Reese, Tadashi Shoji and Rebecca Taylor. "Oxblood is the new power pout — it plays beautifully with the strength of fall’s masculine silhouettes and moody color palettes,” Sarah Lucero, lead makeup artist at Minkoff’s show, told InStyle. According to Makeup For Life, Pat McGrath created this chromatic two-toned cat eye for Atelier Versace in hues of teal "by covering the entire lid with a lighter color then contrasting it with a darker shade around the crease and winged towards the temple."

14. Totally Taupe

To get this taupe look, Givenchy makeup artist Pat McGrath "bleached eyebrows backstage and focused the look on a dramatic eye," explained FABSUGAR. "The lids were a mix of pale pink and icy shadows with a squared-off brown accent in the crease and outer corners. The cheeks were also heavily contoured with taupe tones."

15. '60s Sleek

The serious side parts on the runway at Chloe are very reminiscent of the early '90s. This simple look can be achieved by parting the hair deep to one side and loosely curling the ends. For extra oomph, tease the back to add a little bit of volume.

Hairstylist Malcolm Edwards with Moroccanoil wanted to create a bohemian double plait for Temperley London. "The hair is both youthful and playful — simplistic with a little detail of interest," he explained in a press release. "The first acted as a headband across the crown that flowed into the second side braid. The sides were left loose and curled to frame the face."
