In Response To The Chapel Hill Murders

My incredibly strong and articulate roommate does not always wear her hijaab, because she doesn't need to wear a scarf to be a Muslim. But in light of recent events and all of the judgement those who choose to wear their headscarves receive she is wearing it again. Both in solidarity and to remind those at our small privileged college that this issue is not far away, it is in our own community.
