Top 5 Films And TV Shows Featuring Paintball!

There is something about putting paintball on the big screen that makes it that little bit more awesome - anguished shouts in surround sound, slow-mo headshots and fictional scenarios that no player would ever get away with in reality. Here to separate the good from the plain awful, Delta Force Paintball has provided this handy guide to their fave cinematic and televisual paintball moments. Enjoy!

This is the moment that defined the ultimate paintball justice; man steals your girlfriend, he happens to take part in same paintball event, you proceed to fire off a dual shot to the groin. Throw in a pre-‘Shaun of the Dead’ trio of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Peter Serafinowicz and you have yourself one hell of a funny scene.

    4. Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story (2004)

With a cast featuring the talents of Rob Corddry, Ed Helms and Rob Riggle, this mockumentary comedy was a little unlucky to slip under the radar. These guys may not have been movie stars back then, yet their careers may have been launched by this story of the disgraced paintball pro Bobby Dukes, who is looking to make his way back to the big leagues with a team of inexperienced misfits.

    3. Community – “A Fistful of Paintballs” and “For a Few Paintballs More” (2012)

The finale to Season 2 in the cult comedy Community was a two-part episode of pure paintball madness. With a nod to the classic ‘spaghetti western’, Greendale College is transformed into a colourful battleground with students and teachers forming teams and double-crossing is abound. Does the real thing ever get this serious?

    2. This Means War (2012)

It may only last for 30 seconds, but in that short time Tom Hardy manages several headshots, paint grenades a room full of scared kids and traverses a vantage point to secure the flag (and throw the enemy over the edge). A tad extreme, maybe, but another groin shot at the end makes it funny all over again. Oh, and ignore his awful disregard for safety!

    1. Soldiers of Paint (2013)

Probably the closest thing you can get to the perfect paintball film. This documentary chronicles the world’s ‘ultimate paintball battle’ in Oklahoma, where 4000 participants took part in a D-Day Landing re-enactment on a 700-acre battlefield. Big numbers, big action.
