In 2017, newlyweds Kirsten and Kayleigh Jennings were celebrating at their reception at Pizzeria Gusto in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The owner of Pizzeria Gusto had recently hosted an event for K. Stew and knew she was in town filming a movie, so he asked the two brides if she could drop by. "I was like, 'Yeah, totally! Yeah, no problem. Um, who is that?'" Kirsten told the Canadian Broadcasting Co.

Back in 2016, Taylor surprised two fans, Max Singer and Kenya Smith, at their New Jersey wedding. Apparently the groom's sister had reached out to Taylor to inform her of the wedding and let her know that Max and his mom used to dance to "Blank Space" frequently in the hospital before his mom died. Much to the crowd's delight, Taylor sat down at the piano and began singing "Blank Space" at the reception.

Meryl was filming scenes for Iron Lady back in 2011 when she crossed paths with a couple getting married at the UK's Manchester Town Hall — the same place where she was filming. The bride and groom were thoroughly surprised to see Margaret Thatcher (Meryl) suddenly appear during their nuptials. Meryl later sent the new couple signed pictures with congratulations, and the crew gifted them with champagne, flowers, and a glass vase.

Lil Nas was at Disney World in December of last year, doing a charity event for children. Later in the day, after the event, he came across a bride getting ready to go into her wedding reception. He offered to escort her into the reception, and her guests went wild.

In 2011, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were walking along a beach in Malibu when they heard the Biebs' music playing nearby. So naturally, they decided to show up and investigate for themselves. A then–17-year-old Justin even made a quick congratulatory speech onstage.

For their music video "Sugar," Maroon 5 crashed a series of weddings in Los Angeles in 2015. According to Entertainment Tonight, for each wedding, they hid behind a curtain onstage and then recorded the bride's surprise upon seeing her special guest performers.

In 2016, Justin was eating at a restaurant in New Hampshire when the father of the bride stopped him to ask if he'd swing by the wedding later that day. To his surprise, Justin did show up and even took a few photos with the couple.

In 2013, John met a couple at a bar in Georgia who told him they were getting married the next day. So what did he do? He showed up to the wedding the following day wearing "basically the same outfit" and congratulated the bride and groom.

Bradley was visiting Georgetown University, his alma mater, in 2016 when he spotted a bride and groom walking around campus taking wedding photos. He stopped and greeted them and then popped into their wedding ceremony that took place shortly after. According to People magazine, he even caught the bouquet.

In 2014, Bey and Jay were strolling around Portofino, Italy, when they stumbled upon a wedding at a nearby church. They snapped a couple of photos with the newlyweds and then continued on their way.

The couple were already ecstatic at the elegance of their wedding but were absolutely thrilled when the radio station announced that Ed would be singing "Thinking Out Loud" for the couple's first dance.

In 2016, Lady Gaga was in New York for a publicity campaign when she crashed a wedding in Central Park. It was a Japanese wedding, so Gaga told the bride and groom "I love you" in Japanese before sharing a few hugs and posing for photos.

The famous pair were in Dublin doing film press for Trainwreck in 2015 when they stumbled upon a wedding at a local pub. They dropped in and further surprised wedding guests by singing a few tunes as well.

In December 2020, a newlywed couple were celebrating at their reception at Stoke Park Hotel in the UK when the groom noticed Brad sitting at the hotel bar. Obviously, the couple went over to greet him and asked if he'd pose for a photo. "He said 'Sure, no problem,' and said 'Congratulations, and I hope you have had a great day,'" bride Abi Lingwood told People.

The former president was minding his own business, playing a round of golf at a course in San Diego, when an excited bride and groom ran down to greet him. Their wedding photographer had spotted the president first and told the bride, "I bet you if we went down there, he would take a picture,” and then she started running. Barack did take a few photos with the happy couple (but I guess that technically, you could say they crashed him).

Dwayne and Danny were at a hotel in Mexico promoting Jumanji: The Next Level when they heard a wedding happening upstairs. They grabbed the mic and proceeded to sing "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole.

In 2015, Jennifer crashed a wedding in Texas as part of her partnership with W Hotels Worldwide and the Human Rights Campaign. She sang "I Still Love You" to the lucky couple. The wedding came shortly after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage, so the performance only added an extra layer to the celebrations.
