For starters, I just want to point out that I love these animals. Their beauty leaves me speechless on a daily basis and I wish I could personally thank each and every person who posts photos of them to Instagram.
Now, you and I have some very important matters to discuss.
THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is a sphynx cat.
You're probably wondering, Andrew, what sets the sphynx apart from other breeds? Well, I'm glad you asked.
If you look very closely, you might notice they don't have any hair, which is precisely what sets them apart.
And because I'm already reading the comments section in my imagination, I'll revise that statement and say they have a very fine coat, which, from a distance, looks nonexistent.
And — why the hell not? — here's a photo of Benjamin Button as a baby. Personally, I see no difference...
They are the same.
These creatures amaze me. You see, I live with two large male cats who were nice enough to adopt me. I also grew up with cats, your standard American shorthairs. Nothing fancy.
So when I see something like this...

...it catches me a little off guard. This isn't what cats are supposed to look like! is an occasional rude thought of mine and I apologize.

Yep, sphynx cats need baths at least once a week. They produce the same amount of natural oils as cats with fur, but since it all just ends up coating their bare skin, they're prone to FELINE ACNE.
Ok so they get pimples, take baths, and look like Benjamin Button when they're born.
I know what you're thinking: ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?
Yeah, they often need to wear clothes. Like naked people, they too get cold. Most cats aren't down with playing dress-up. These little guys, however, are.
