Staten Island Clown Revealed On NY Radio Station Z100

The infamous Staten Island Clown stopped by "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show" to surprise one of the hosts for their birthday, and the creators revealed the whole thing was created by a film company called Fuzz on the Lens.

Michael Leavy of Fuzz on the Lens confirmed that yes, he and the local production company were behind the coordination of the masked character who appeared in images that went viral following an Advance report Monday.

The announcement came during an appearance on Z100's "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show."

Leavy, joined by another production employee, Steve Della Salla, said the clown had nothing to do with a promotion for a movie.

"We treated this as a film within itself ... we treated him as a character and the world was our production," he said.
