The Ant-Man shortlist was reportedly down to Paul Rudd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And it looks as if Paul Rudd might have won...
Believe the internet rumour mill from a week or two back, and the shortlist to play Ant-Man in Edgar Wright's upcoming Marvel movie was down to two. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was one name on the shortlist, and Paul Rudd was the other.
SchmoesKnow scored a big scoop last week when the site revealed that Tim Burton was being drawn back to directing Beetlejuice 2. That report proved to have substance to it, and now the site is saying that Paul Rudd is be the man to headline the Ant-Man movie.
Rudd would take on the dual role of Hank Pym/Ant-Man, and it's also being reported that Rashida Jones is leading the running to play Janet Van Dyne in the movie.
Of course, until this is all officially confirmed, a little dab of salt is advisable. We'll keep you posted once an announcement comes through. In the meantime, the film is set for release in July
