Vimal Govind Manikandan, an engineering student from Kerala, just built a functioning wearable Iron Man suit using exoskeleton technology.
The exoskeleton costs $750 (or ₹50,141) to make, weighs about 220 pounds, and is capable of lifting 330 pounds.
Manikandan hopes that the technology will be used for defence purposes, industrial weightlifting, or for material handling.
He was heavily inspired by various Hollywood action movies, especially Avatar, to build the Iron Man suit.
This isn't the first time that Manikandan has built a robotic exoskeleton. Back in 2015, he built this beast.
