A Sikh Man Removed His Turban To Save A Drowning Dog And He's A Goddamn Hero

The man couldn't swim, so he did whatever he could do to save a life.

Punjab resident Sarwan Singh, 28, thought quick on his feet as a dog was drowning in an irrigation canal. Without any forethought, he took off his turban to rescue the dog.

A video uploaded by Caters Clips shows the man climb down the banks of the canal to rescue the pup.

"I was travelling when I saw a group of men pointing towards the canal," Singh told The Mirror. "I stopped my car and went over to check what was happening. I was shocked to see that there was a dog drowning but no was actually helping."

Even though Singh couldn't swim, he knew he had to do something to help the dog, so he unravelled his turban and used it as a line for the dog to grab on to.

The dog came out of the incident unscathed and is alive and well. "The dog was frightened, so I fed him some biscuits and let him go on his own," Singh told the Daily Mail.
