On June 1, English author Neil Gaiman conducted a Facebook Live session to promote his new book, The View From the Cheap Seats.
And while the live stream was happening, members of the group "Book Deals for Broke Bibliophiles" decided to trend the hashtag #BringGaimanToIndia.
And so it began. Hundreds of Indians began tweeting with the hashtag, providing various reasons for Gaiman to make the trip here.
And it kinda, sorta worked. He acknowledged the hashtag.

And now, music and art venue The Humming Tree, in Bangalore, is actually trying to make this happen.
