If you looked deep into their eyes perhaps you detected that within lies the misery brought on by air travel â€” in this case, at the Charles de Gaulle airport following flight cancellations due to the airport workers' strike.

Is that woman smiling because she's on her way to a chic tropical vacation or a chic plastic privacy booth?

She's obviously filled with the joy brought on by the great American freedom to vote and wait in line to do so. She stands in line in Milford, (Swing State) Virginia.

Are these people hitting the polls or getting ready to de-shoe for security?


These people are leaving Heathrow Airport in London after the Olympics.

Are these people getting a caffeine fix in before they only have access to airplane coffee, or just trying to stay awake at a not-very-stimulating pre-office poll stop?

They're hitting the polls in the early morning! In Boston, where the temperature is probably somewhere around penguin comfort level.

Isn't it quaint how you can see misery and longing in the backs of people's heads and bodies? But from where does that miserable longing stem?

Voting, sillies! This is the scene at a DC polling station.

Is this Taylor Swift performing at a polling station or an airport?

For some reason she did a concert at JFK airport, which pretty much answers the question of which is worse: the airport or voting. And only you can dig deep and decide how you feel about Taylor Swift and answer that question for yourself.
