Nepal is a nature lover's dream! You can spend days just taking in the gorgeous Himalayan Mountains (Mt. Everest anyone?) as well as lush jungle, lakes, rivers, and even glaciers. If you’re not trained to climb the tallest mountains in the world, then hiking in the Annapurna region might be more your speed. After that, head over to Chitwan National Park and you just might see some some rhinos, elephants, or even Bengal tigers! There are also many cultural, historical, and spiritual sights you can check out all over Nepal. All of this combined with great food, extraordinarily friendly people, and rich culture make this a can’t-miss country!

Nepal

Colombia has seen a big travel boom in the last few years and for good reason! It has beautiful beaches, plentiful wildlife, the Amazon rainforest, and trendy cities like Bogota, Medellin, as well as the colorful colonial town of Cartagena. If you’re hungry for adventure you can set off on a once in a lifetime tour of the Amazon. Tayrona National Park also offers a slightly easier trek through the rainforest as well as beaches, lagoons, and even shipwrecks that you can scuba dive! Or you can immerse yourself in Colombia’s coffee culture and take a tour of a coffee farm or try out a new blend! While you’re at it, try some of their arepas (corn meal pastry with filling), ajiaco (stew with corn, chicken and three types of potatoes), carne oreada (sun dried steak), or hot chocolate with cheese (just trust us!).

Colombia

Thailand is a backpacker hotspot for a reason. White sand beaches, great food, and so many activities it will make your head spin! Go zip-lining over the jungle or rent out a kayak or canoe and glide over crystal clear waters. If you’re a beach-goer, Phuket is perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling, and beach hopping. There are also plenty of partying opportunities on the islands or in cities like Chiang Mai and Bangkok if thats your thing. If you’re not a big partier but still want a fun evening activity, you can check out a night market! Night markets are full of good food and fun shopping. Try out gai tod (fried chicken with chili paste), moo ping (grilled pork skewers), kluay tod (fried bananas), kao niew ma muang (mango with coconut sticky rice) or one of their many fresh juices. Yum!

Thailand

Sun, sand, and spices! Morocco is like a dream with its desert sands, gold accents, beautiful architecture and vibrant colors all around. This is one place that you won’t be able to resist snapping a pic of! But it’s not just aesthetics, Morocco is a county ripe with adventure. Glamp under the stars on an unforgettable journey into the Sahara! You can visit Casablanca, cool off on the beaches Essaouira, or head over to “the blue city” Chefchaouen where almost every building is painted blue. Last but not least, you can’t miss the bustling souks (outdoor marketplaces) of Marrakesh, filled with vendors selling pottery, spices, textiles, jewelry, metalwork, and other treasures just waiting to be found. Be sure to pick up a hat to protect against the sun and keep you looking cool in all those photos you’ll be taking!

Morocco

Portugal is a beautiful country and perfect if you like a little bit of beach, country, and city all together! There are many lovely seaside towns as well as inland villages and even castles scattered all throughout Portugal. Lisbon is a great home base to explore everything Portugal has to offer! Hangout cliff side and enjoy some traditional Portuguese dishes and what just may be the best seafood of your life (if you want to get a whole grilled octopus this is the place)! Or you can drink and dance your way through some of the best nightlife Portugal has to offer. If you need some rest from your night out, you can enjoy some street art around the city or head down to the sun soaked beaches of Lagos for some surfing, kayaking, and cave exploring!

Portugal

Ukraine is a country with a very rich past (and present) that is perfect for both history buffs and city lovers! It's also a good blend of city and country with many things to do in both. Its capitol, Kyiv, is covered in churches and cathedrals that will take your breath away! There are also day trips to Chernobyl available out of Kyiv if you are so inclined. Lviv is another great city that should be on your list. It has just as many fascinating historical sites and if those get boring (how could they, though?) there are three ancient castles that you can explore just outside the city. It's also strong on café culture so you can have your fill of unique spaces to sit down in and people watch. You’ll have to try out some varenyky (like pierogis), borsch (beet soup), deruni (potato pancakes), craft beer, and vodka while you're there. Don’t forget your camera for all those castles, cathedrals, and historical sites!
