What Does Same-Sex Marriage Mean To You?

To me, same sex-sex marriage means unity. It means we are one step closer to equality. To me, same-sex marriage signifies dignity in our country and after this ruling, I have never felt more patriotism for my country. The battle for true equality certainly isn't over, but it is one step, a big step closer. To me, it means we are finally put others' happiness and livelihood before our own personal agenda. It represents yet another right that our people will fight tooth and nail for. The dedication and commitment a community must go through to receive a basic right they were always denied, these are some of my true heroes. I feel we are one great big step closer to greater quality of life for our country.
