Just please don't step on my new sneaks.
But just in case your kicks become unclean check out these sneakerhead-approved shoe-cleaning kits.
This is my personal favorite pick on the list. I bought these because I wanted a pair of white sneakers with a retro look — not too white or shiny, sort of '80s vibes. I immediately fell in love with the green detailing, and after buying them, I can safely say this is the comfiest pair of white sneakers I've owned. They're so soft and easy to walk in; I usually just shove them on my feet without even undoing the laces, and are my go-to walking shoe for any activity. And the best part is, they seem to look better the more I wear them.

Promising review: "I am a hospice nurse, so I have some flexibility on what shoes I am allowed to wear. I have tried about every 'nurse' shoe there is and I find them to be clunky. I love these sneakers and so many of my patients and their families comment on their cuteness. More importantly, they are so comfy and they go with everything." —hospicern

Promising review: "I am a lifeguard and swim instructor, so I'm on a pool deck 40 hours a week. I saw all of the kids that came to swim lessons wearing these shoes and I jokingly said, 'I wish they made those in my size!' to which the mom responded 'THEY DO!!!' So, of course, I immediately ordered them. I AM NOT UPSET. They are the most comfortable supportive shoe I've found that is acceptable to be put in chlorine if need-be. They are the perfect hybrid of Crocs and Converse! 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!" —George McLaughlin

Promising review: "I love these shoes! They’re my go-to white shoes for any outfit whether you wanna dress up or dress down. They’re comfortable and fit exactly how I expected them to. They also give you a little bit of height, which is great for me since I’m short... These are slowly coming back into trend and I would recommend these white shoes in everyone’s closet. I have yet to buy another white pair of shoes because of how much I love these. Also, I’ve danced in these and they don’t crease as bad as any other white leather/pleather shoes. The leather fabric is really soft and smooth so the crease is very minimal. You can wear these and not have to worry about them having a huge crease line. Overall amazing shoe!" —jeffery

BuzzFeed Shopping writer Abby Kass says, "I should know because the first time I wore these shoes, I walked 16,000 steps in them. Yep, you read that correctly, 16,000 steps and not a single blister and no foot pain at the end of the day. Soon after that day, these shoes became my new go-tos. They have a classic look to them and really do go with everything. I even took them on vacation to Paris, and I wore them almost every day. They didn't look like tourist shoes at all, and I never had any pain while wearing them. The price point is a bit steep on them, but for the quality, I really do think they are worth it."
Get them from Greats for $179 (available in women's sizes 6–10, and men's sizes 7–15).
Promising review: "These Filas are my one splurge purchase for my spring wardrobe, as I tend to like more classic pieces and these are all about a trend. But these platform sneaks are the style my '90s childhood self dreamed of owning. The soles are comfy and bouncy. The shape is that trending grandpa shoe or ugly shoe, but not distractingly so. They elevate any outfit. That standard jeans and tee style? Now it's effortlessly cool. My oldest sundresses I stashed in the back of my closet? Paired them with these kicks and some high socks for a totally new look. Couldn't be happier." —Kiwi

Promising review: "I bought the slip-on shoes a few months ago and have worn them almost every day since. I generally look for wider shoes and I regularly anticipate problems with the good ole foot stank. After wearing them for just a few hours, they fit my feet even better than when I had first slipped them on. Even though you can go barefoot in the shoes, I know my feet sweat when I get hot or nervous, so I always wear socks and have never had a problem with odor! For me, this is a huge plus — not to mention how environmentally conscientious Thousand Fell is! I confidently wear them to work, around town, and my feet stay dry in the rain. I’m such a fan that I wrote about them in my last college final for Product Marketing. If you’re on the fence about it, I encourage you to at least try them out!"—AK

I have a wider toe area to my foot and so I am always worried about buying shoes online, but these are super comfortable. I have been able to do hourlong walks in them around the city with zero issues. I am actually blown away by these shoes. —Tedss

I wear them winter and summer. They are the best and always complement your casual wear. I might note that I wash my Keds all the time in the washer, regardless of the color. Promising review: "I purchased these shoes prior to a six-day trip to Disney World, hoping they would be delivered in time for me to break them in before the trip. They didn't arrive until three days before we left, so I only got to wear them one day. Turns out, it didn't even matter! Not once, before or during the trip, did they feel like they weren't broken in yet! I walked a minimum of 15,000 steps a day in those shoes and it was like walking on clouds all day! Since returning from the trip, they've been worn several more times and I still have nothing but good things to say about them. I will absolutely be buying another pair when I need new shoes." —Bethany Parjer

Promising review: "This was my first pair of Vans back in the day. I bought mine in August of 2017. Here we are in April 2021 and I'm still wearing them. These things are absolute tanks. I've skated in these, I've hiked in these, I've walked in rain, mud, and grass. They have survived it all. They look amazing with wear (I'm one of those people who think Vans look better worn in). Went true to size and they fit me great. They get more comfortable with wear. This is a great first pair of Van for anyone looking to try out the brand. Definitely recommend." —Harlow

Promising review: "I can't get enough of these. I have literally been asked by everyone what shoes these are and where I got them — so they're clearly cute. But most importantly they are comfortable AF. Like, walking on clouds comfortable. I NEVER got blisters on the back or side when I first wore them, and of course, they're super broken in now so it's not an issue. The outside of them stays SO clean so easily. I had to wipe them off a few times and that's it. The inside linen part is starting to look a little dingy so I might need to order my next pair. I have owned them for over a year and literally wear them daily. Highly recommend!" —Kristi

I needed THIS New Balance shoe. I ordered these knowing I would love them. I set the bar so high, anything less than would have morphed the Karen right out of me. And you know what? These shoes DELIVERED. I love them so much I’m going to give them names. I will wear these as my slippers. I will wear these as my walking shoe. Don't worry, we've got you covered with some more recommendations for sneakers that you'll never want to take off.
Promising review: "I was looking for a cute white sneaker to wear with many kinds of outfits, particularly to make a dress casual for spring or summer. I ordered so many different white sneakers to try. I tried Common Projects, but for the price, I was too afraid to go out in them! I tried Stan Smiths (VERY uncomfortable), and even Sezane's Bari sneakers (strange fit). I finally decided to try these and wow!— they are so cute, comfortable, the leather is easy to clean, and they can look both on the dressier side (for sneakers) and also make a summery dress cool and casual. I have read complaints that the tongue is very stiff, but I found it very easily slips to the side and it is not uncomfortable while walking. Also they did stretch a bit after wearing, and I think they are a perfect fit. I am wearing them with thin socks or no socks at all, so keep this in mind when you are choosing your size. I have worn them to work and walked more than two miles at once in them— definitely my new go-to!" —chughes913
