The 2020 Academy Award "Best Picture" Nominees Were Announced, So Here's A Bunch Of Jokes About Them

I'd like to thank the Academy...and also, Twitter.

This week the 2020 Academy Award nominations were announced, which included the nine films that will be competing for the coveted title of "Best Picture":

Each and every one of these films is a masterwork in itself, and they are some of the best films of the year...so I took the liberty of collecting a bunch of silly jokes about them. You're welcome:

    1.

The first time they show Margot Robbie’s feet in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a woman in front of me said “there’s the feet!”

    2.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (Quentin Tarantino, 2019)

The fact that the Oscars doesn't have a host doesn't bode well for Parasite.

    10.

I know he’s earnest and his relationship w Camila Cabello is annoying but got damn Shawn Mendes directes the hell out of 1917

    11.

marriage story is simply an unrealistic story because if I confronted my husband about him cheating and he said “you shouldn’t be mad that I slept with her you should be mad I had a laugh with her” he would not be alive

    12.

Marriage Story (2h 17m) is actually longer than The Irishman (3h 30m) because then you have to cry (21m) then think about your past relationships (31m) then cry again (15m) then lie in bed contemplating (1hr) wow Netflix is really pushing the boundaries of cinema

    13.

divorced kids be like marriage story is my black panther😍😍

    14.

    21.

i saw little women on a date, then we had dinner, went dancing, went home, had sex, slept over, had sex again, got breakfast in the morning-- and through all of that i never once stopped thinking about Florence Pugh

    22.
