16 Problems You'll Only Relate To If You Look Younger Than Your Age

I'm an adult. I pinky promise.

    1. People saying "Really?" when you tell them how old you are.

    2. Being weirdly nervous about getting carded even though it's your actual ID with your actual age.

    3. People looking at your ID, then at you, then back at your ID, over and over again...

    4. ...and then still acting skeptical after they give it back.

    5. People asking what you're studying in school... when you graduated years ago.

    6. When you get a manicure and they ask if you're getting your nails done for prom.

    7. When people will tell you "it's a good thing to look so young" after questioning your age.

    8. And when people much younger than you hit on you and you don't know how to break the news to them.

    9. The distinctive annoyance you feel when someone calls you "sweetie."

    10. And the suppressed rage you feel when someone says "No school today?" because you're out and about on a weekday.

    11. When the server singles you out even though they didn't ID any of the friends you're with.

    12. And the deep unfairness of having to just give up and go home because you forgot your ID and know it's a lost cause.

    13. When a repair man comes to your house and asks to speak to your parents.

    14. And when you look in the mirror and think "Who's that giant child?"

    15. Of course, there are also plenty of times when you get a student discount that you haven't deserved in a very long time ...

    16. ... and you know that there are way worse problems than having a baby face.
